While the majority of the recordings with Ernest Ansermet were made with L'Orchestre de la Susise Romande, some also exist with the Orchestra of the Paris Conservatoire and with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, including the Royal Ballet Gala Performances. The online magazine Audiophilia writes of it, "This is the stuff dreams are made of." The Royal Ballet Gala Performances is one of the finest RCAs recorded at London's Kingsway Hall
Bernie Grundman did the remastering of the stereo mix for Analogue Productions, Willem Makkee is responsible for the mono mix. The double hybrid SACD comes in a hard cardboard slipcase with a detailed booklet. The CD track contains the stereo mix, the hybrid SACD the stereo as well as the following same titles again in the mono mix.
