Optagelser fra det kæmpe velgørenhedsarrangement på fire-dobbelt dvd

Liveoptagelser fra den historiske Live 8-velgørenhedskoncert, der fandt sted simultant i ni forskellige storbyer verden over, samlet på firedobbelt dvd. Tre af de fire discs indeholder store udpluk fra de to centrale shows, der blev afholdt i henholdsvis London og Philadelphia. Alle kunstnere, der optrådte ved disse to koncerter, vil figurere på dvd’en, mens der også vil være højdepunkter fra de andre syv koncerter.

Der er altså substantielle uddrag fra koncerter med så markante kunstnere som U2, Muse, Scissor Sisters, Robbie Williams, Madonna, Elton John, Coldplay, REM, Pink Floyd, Dido, Paul McCartney, Keane og mange flere.

Den fjerde disc indeholder blandt andet en eksklusiv backstage-dokumentar, som er optaget under Pink Floyds øve-session efter genforeningen i Hyde Park. Derudover indeholder den også uddrag fra blandt andet Bjørks koncert og film lavet af The Who og Travis samt en række andre features.

En stor del af overskuddet fra salget af dvd’erne vil gå til den såkaldte Band Aid Trust, hvor de vil blive brugt til at bedre forholdene i de fattigste afrikanske lande.
