Chicago - Chicago VI (Hybrid SACD)

Chicago's sixth album dates from 1973 and was not only commercially successful with two hit singles, but also marked the beginning of a new sound world for Chicago. With the use of the just newly built Caribou Studio of their producer James William Guercio an airiness moved into the sound and one can assume that it was also the sound of this studio that made the music move more in the direction of a fresh pop rock. Furthermore, the band now also worked with guest musicians such as percussionist Laudir De Oliveira, who would also appear on future albums.
